AnnMarie Papa is an energetic and engaging leader that has mentored and inspired many. She has presented on many topics related to emergency nursing regionally and nationally. Holding a BSN and MSN from Villanova University and a DNP from Waynesburg University, Papa is also a Fellow in the Academy of Emergency Nursing.

Papa is a thought leader and a dynamic and sought after speaker on leadership, mentoring and many other topics. She has been recognized for her exemplary leadership with local, state and national awards. She served as the 2011 National ENA President and is the Director of the ED at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She is currently serving a 3 year term on the National Quality Forum Leadership Network.

An avid advocate for emergency nursing, Papa is on the advisory boards for Advance for Nursing, Co-Editor of the Journal of Emergency Nursing’s Experience Talks column, and has served on many boards including the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania’s Capacity Management Advisory Board and Emergency Medicine Practice Editorial Board. She is adjunct faculty for Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA, and Waynesburg University in Waynesburg, PA.
